As you probably remember, my friends Rachel and Bill had a little baby boy a couple of weeks ago. Well, finally today I finished his baby shower gift! Although I tried to have it done in
time for the baby shower, I just couldn't get it finished (I co-hosted the shower, so I like to pretend I had a good excuse :-) So at the shower I gave it to her with the needles still attached! I then took it back from her so I could finish it up. So finally today, I finished!. I love how it turned out! It is a Blue Sky Alpaca pattern (Eyelet Baby Blanket) and I used the Blue Sky Alpaca Dyed Cotton in Sky for the yarn. The yarn was great to work with and the resulting blanket is so soft. It is washable which I am sure Rachel will appreciate. The border is my favorite part. Although you have to pick up an insane number of stitches, it was fun to see the pattern come together as I completed each row. While Alex doesn't really know the difference, I know his mom will love it.
