Only in San Francisco would you see this bike parked outside a bar. I would have TOTALLY won that bike decorating contest as part of the 4th of July celebration when I was a kid if I had fun stuff like this!

Pick your favorite
So yesterday, Lisa, Diane and I joined about 30,000 other people for Scott Kelby's Second Annual Photowalk. It was great! The premise is for people get together with other people in their community to spend a few hours taking pictures and getting to know each other. There were more than 10 scheduled in the Bay Area and we decided to head up to San Rafael and join a group at China Camp State Park (yes governor, we paid our parking fee).
There's actually a contest involved as well. People can upload up to two of their favorite photos from the day. Our group leader will then pick the best photo from our group who will go head-to-head with the winners from the other 900 groups. The first prize is amazing as are the honorable mentions. Anyhow, this is where I need your help. Below are my six favorite from the day. Can you reply in the comments on which two are your favorites? I have an idea of which two I'll submit, but I'd like the benefit of a unbiased eye. If you click on the image, it should make it a little larger.

Project 365: Week 1 Layout
So I'm embarking on a challenge to take a picture every day in 2009. Then I'll use those pictures to put together an album showing what I've done this year. I've changed the project slightly from what a lot of other people are doing (who can handle the pressure of taking a picture every day?) and instead looking at the project as a way to identify the details of my life. So sometimes you might see an old picture to try to represent something else important with that day. For instance, on a friend's birthday I might post an older picture and talk about our friendship. And sometimes, I'll just use a quote. Anyhow, although I'm doing well at taking a picture every day, I haven't been a good putting my layouts together. So now that we've hit the half way part in the year, it seemed like a good idea to start in on the project. Without further ado, Week 1...
